Every girl's dream

During my younger days, I used to dream of having a playroom or playground of my own. While browsing, I found a DIY website where they have tutorials and all sorts of cool stuff. And after looking around, I found this cute thing, a DIY playroom for your kids. It's so cute and fun but you need a big room to fit all this. How nice rite? Would you design your kid a playroom like this?

Missing my late grandma dearly.

Today is supposed to be my late grandma's 86th Birthday.

I miss her tremendously. 

When I think about her now, after nearly three years after her passing, its tempting to eclipse the pain with numbness, the grief with rage and the sorrow with a certain kind of feeling. But most of the temptation lies in silence. 

I miss her face & her voice but most of all I miss having her here.

It's true when people say that "You can meet thousands of people, but it only takes one to change your life forever". When God knows you're ready for the responsibility of commitment, He'll reveal the right person under the right circumstances. I am so lucky to have found my husband at the right time and that is the best feeling in the world. When you're in love with someone who is more in love with you. I have a best friend, husband, and true love, and I am lucky, they're all the same person, YOU. I know he's something special when no matter what kind of mood I’m in, he can always manage to make me smile. I believe God's plan is like a movie. All the good and bad things are arranged together for the good ending. Can't imagine life without him today. Baby, if you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you.

Hubby, It is so weird not having you beside me and the lil one now but I can't wait to be with you again soon. We miss you so much. Wish you were here rubbing my belly and feeling the lil one actively kicking. True love isn’t about always being together. Its about loving each other even more each day no matter how much time you spend apart. Everyday I grow more fond of you. Even more so when you're away. Looking forward till I meet u again tomorrow. hehe. Behave and jgn notty2. Love you lots Bb. Hugs and kisses all the way from Penang. xoxo

Baby clothes dilemma.

I came across a few articles and blogs recently saying not to buy cute 0-3 month baby clothes and I wonder why. It might sound like a very simple concept but if you ever wandered the baby section of a department store, you will go (ahhhh, so cute... should I get it). It is not cheap, sometimes it costs more than our blouse.. Trust me!

As you all know, I am passionate about baby clothes since forever. I love them. When I was still in Melbourne, I just love to walk around the baby section and shop for my niece.And the sad truth is that they really are absolute most cutest and irresistible the smaller they are. But what I understand from reading is to not be sucked into their trap. Okay, maybe you can buy one or two - or the most maybe 4 or 5. But that's it.

Here's why: Most babies that size are going to spend about 75% of their time sleeping. The other 25% is spent pooping or spitting up. Besides that you really aren't going to leave your house that much in those first few months - Going through confinement period and looking awful with a high bun on your head.

It is advised to not take out your baby around any crowds until he is at least 6 weeks old. And when you're home, there is really nothing more precious than dressing him/her in a simple rompers. In addition, they will grow so fast in those first few weeks. Before you know it, you will be packing up those teeny tinies.

Knowing myself, I know how tempting it is going to be but really - I need to control myself. I'm going to settele for several packs of white onesies and some sweet but budget friendly footsie pajamas.

SECOND TRIMESTER

No more puking and feeling nausea all the time.

I now enjoy

eating 

travelling 

exercising

etc..

My baby is now very active in my womb.

I wonder what the lil one is doing inside..

Twenty three / twenty four weeks!

Size: Eggplant (34 - 36cm), baby weigh more than 630g

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I am 5kg heavier since the start of my pregnancy.  (Had lost at the beginning and then gained that back)

Maternity Clothes: loose blouse, tights, big T and also sundresses. Good to have maternity belly belt.

Gender: Soon to be revealed. :)

Movement: Active and beginning to get stronger.

Sleep: Pretty good but super annoyed with LEG CRAMPS everyday.

Cravings: Nothing in particular. But I love plain soup to go with rice. 

Aversions: Strong smell of detergent / anything smelly. I tend to throw up. 

Symptoms:  None.

What I Miss: Exercising and looking good in my outfit.

What I'm Looking Forward To:  Next appointment w my gynae & my next holiday trip w hubby

Best Moment This Week: Travelling with hubby & the in-laws, shopping, visiting new places and capturing new memories.

Thoughts: My tummy is already showing. Stressing out nothing much to wear. Good start to my second trimester although it seems like it is taking forever for this pregnancy to end.  We got some of the baby stuff here and there. Now we just need new chest of drawers for the lil one to get organized. Can't wait to start decorating the baby room. I like to get things done and checked off a list.

Craftiness In Me.

Before my wedding in April, I turned into a craft junkie; wanting to create and decorate everything I see into something beautiful and sweet to put at my wedding. All the ideas starts pouring like rain but the only thing I couldn't find is the time to actually sit and work on it. Everything went by so quickly. Luckily I managed to squeeze some time to create the necessary ones. Here it is:

And 2 days ago, I completed my first felt doll. Finally!

I still need to improve on my work. But I'm giving a pat on my back, not bad for a first timer rite?

No sewing machine or any hidden talent in sewing. 

Hubby's been asking me to make something for him already. hehe

He's my #1 fan! ;)

Lately I started having weird cravings that is impossible to get. Most of it is from Melbourne. How how how? Clearly, my heart is still in Melbourne. The place that I call home, once upon a time.
