Craft, activity and Alex!

Hubby left for Manila last Thursday for a work trip. So, before leaving he was too kind to help me assembled my craft trolley that we bought from Ikea earlier last week. How handy to have a handyman in the house to fix everything I need . Yay! So when he was away for nearly a week, I decided to reorganize my craft supplies so that I get the extra motivation to work on my scrapbook, card-making and project life. I have yet to get all my things together to fill this up completely. hehe So far so good.

Stationary and sticker collection
Project Life, card stock and embellishment
Washi Tapes, Assorted Scissors etc.
Some of my collection. Gotta fill it up.

Since hubby was out of town for a couple of days, FiL came over to help me look after Alex. He even drove me to Midvalley for Baby Expo. Bought quite a lot of small things there. :) FiL went crazy over baby stuff especially the food section. He was worst than me but all is good.
At least ada geng. haha

These are some of Alex's photos I took recently. He's growing so fast!
I miss him being all small, light, cuddly like a newborn baby.
No I don't want to smile. Let's get it over and done with.

Uh-oh mommy forgot to bring my stroller, trolley it is then!

Mommy, can I play badminton please?

 Yay, up up and away!

Sunday is usually family funday. Took baby for a swim as usual although hubby wasn't around. There were so many kids there. Lupa pulak dah start cuti sekolah. Baby got distracted half of the time by just watching other kids swimming and splashing in the pool. But i think he had fun.

Now that hubby is back, can't wait to spend some time with him. Alex misses his daddy. Always saying "Daddy, daddy, daddy". Last night, we brought him to the new Tesco in our area. He was so happy to explore his happy place.

A happy video of Alex calling his daddy

Doraemon, are you ready to roll?

Mommy can I take him home please?

Weekend Love

Saturday

Last weekend was my working weekend. So on Saturday, we did not do much as the weather wasn't that friendly. It was raining, so we decided to stay home and snooze until dinner. Then we went to The Bee, Publika for dinner. I had Chili Prawn Pasta and hubby got himself The Bee Burger. We also ordered nachos. Sorry I did not capture our main course but I got the nachos! Their nachos is the best!

Sunday

Hubby and I have a thing for English Breakfast. So we made a point to actually get up early on Sunday to have brunch in Bangsar. Since we've already tried Antipodean, we chose Marmalade Cafe this time. No surprise, their breakfast was actually good. Both of us had Big Fry Up. Wanted to try their Fatbaby Ice Cream but was too full by the time I'm with my big breakfast. Maybe next time. I love everything about the cafe. The pastel colors, the decorated flowers, the bright and airy space etc. If ever I open a cafe, I would so go for this concept too! :)

After brunch, it started to rain. So, we stopped by to get the yummiest soya ever. (Located in Uptown, Damansara). They have the best soya and taufu fa in town. Yay! When I was pregnant with Alex, I used to crave for this everyday. hehe

So being all sweet without baby Alex for the weekend, look what hubby did.. hehe
Nak beli soya pun turun berdua walaupun hujan. :P

Okay enough of dating, it's baby time. Fetched baby Alexander from my in-laws' place.
He was asleep when we reached but right after he open his eyes, he was so happy to see us. Then came the sweet smile and a little happy tear wanting me to carry him in my arms.
Oh-the-small-joys!

We played for a while before giving him his warm bath. And during dinner time, baby was super excited waiting for his aeroplane spoon with yummy homemade porridge.

Baking Sunday.

Last Sunday, while hubby was away for a photography thing, I was so bored at home so I decided to try a recipe that I saw on Pinterest. It was a last minute thing, so nothing extreme. I took out some Hershey's chocolate kisses and a few ingredients to make Oreo and Peanut Butter Brownie Cakes. Just prepare your brownie mix, spread peanut butter on oreos and cover with brownie mix. And it's ready to bake. It's so easy.

All you need is a couple of ingredients.

1 box brownie mix
A packet of Oreo
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Preheat oven 175 for 30 mins before baking.
Line a 12 muffin cup baker with paper liners.

Prepare brownie mix according to package directions. For each cupcake cup spread 1 teaspoon of peanut butter over Oreo cookies.

Place oreo stacks into the cupcake lined muffin cups.

Spoon 2 tablespoons of brownie batter over oreo and let it run down the sides of the cookie.

Bake cookies and brownies for 25-30 minutes, until brownies are cooked through.
Let it cool completely then serve.

I promised my husband I will try to bake this for him one day and tadaa.. he came home smiling after smelling my brownies from outside the house.
Oh small happiness!

If you have left over brownie batter, bake separately in a separate baker tin.
I purposely put in some kisses chocolate coz I have heaps from my last trip. :)

Project Life Starts Now

I can sit all day in the office looking at beautiful images and creative ideas on Pinterest. It's so fun if you have the time to sit and slowly try out some creative ideas. Besides Pinterest, I also followed a few blogs on Scrapbooking and Project Life. Scrapbooking is not something new for me but I am so keen to try the new in thing now called Project Life by Becky Higgins. I could not wait to start my new journey with it. It looks so easy and neat. Been looking for it for days now and doing a little bit of a survey for her products. After searching high and low, I came across Papier website and voila, they actually carry the Project Life kit. I was so excited so I told my hubby about it. Knowing how he is with 'ceciwi-ness' of getting new stuff, he agreed to take me to Papier, The Curve. So, last night after stopping by Baby Land for Alex's milk, hubby accompanied me to Papier to look for Becky Higgins' products. I was so excited right until I saw the price. I was somewhat shocked and frustrated after looking at the price tag for each and every item. I swear, at one point, I felt like screaming and running out from the shop. Everything there was so pricey. Being the nice person, he offered to buy me the complete 4-piece beginner set for RM550. I actually told the salesgirl I will think about it and come back soon but hubby insisted to get it for me. Katanya, it's a present. Hehe So, I went crazy for a few minutes by myself deciding on the designs. Hubby didn't want to help me decide on anything at all. After purchasing, I automatically became a member with grab bag as a free gift for new member. Okay, brace yourself for this awesome present I got from Hubby. Tadaaaaa.. Can't wait to start documenting my daily happenings.
